About
At the age of 19, fresh out of college, I had a dream to go to Africa. Life doesn't always turn out the way we plan, but it always turns out the way God plans. Thirty-five years later, on a trip to Africa, the dream of a 19 years old became a reality.
In June of 2018 God called me to a remote village in Central Uganda, Africa. Out of that trip That The World Will Know FB page was birthed.
Our circumstances may be different in the US than they are in Uganda, but there is nothing new under the sun. So as we live life, here and abroad, That The World Will Know is about the journey. It is about bringing answers, hope and healing through the Gospel of Jesus Christ into every day life. It is about relationships. It is about seeing and knowing the needs in us and around us, and rising up to meet those needs in real and tangible ways.
I'm so thankful to many who have joined me on this journey. Thank you for supporting the work of TTWWK. If you are reading this, I invite you to join us on this journey.
Read below about what God has accomplished so far. You can read about so many other things on our FB page, That the World Will Know.
*Since June of 2018 we continue to provide food for a Saturday feeding and discipleship program, where children who cannot afford to go to school can come and learn about life and the Lord.
*We added a second meal for the school children so they could stay in school all day.
*In October we built safe latrines (toilets) for the church and school.
*In January of 2019 we purchased land.
* In April we began building a 50x16 foot building to house offices, a store, a sewing room, and a bedroom.
*In April '19 we purchased a vehicle for the pastor and his family so they could go as a family and minister in Kamiigo.
The people of Uganda are beautiful, loving, hardworking people. It is a tremendous privilege to come alongside the people in Uganda and help them as they continue to move out of poverty and into a sustainable, thriving community.
Thank you for joining us in this work.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Mathew 28:19-20
