They are hard at work in the garden, even the kids love to help. Due to lack of rain most have lost crops (including us) so we will prepare for next season’s crops.
We praise God that he has opened the door for another guest coming next week. That will be such a blessing to the ministry. God often doesn’t provide in ways we imagine but if we continue to have eyes to see and ears to hear we will still see his hand prints in everything we do. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.” Psalm 19:1

Wow, I realized it's been a week since I posted. That's a long time for me. Everything is ok. It was just a tough week in Uganda last week and sometimes it's hard to know how to express it. What I will say is how awesome God is.
The beginning of the year I was worrying about how "I" was going to "do it all." He spoke in my heart and said He was going to show me his power this year. Well, if you've been following us you can see how God has been so powerfully been working these past six months. Last week was no exception. We had six sick family members and many who have lost crops due to lack of rain. That brings so many other problems for our families. But God provided all we needed... even before we knew we would need it. Part of it came through one of you and part of it by God bringing guests to our Ugandan guest house after we decided not to host this summer while I was in the US. So by the power of God, six family members were seen and treated medically, and all our families received rice, beans and posho. This year has been such an incredible season of being stretched in my faith and growing in trusting God to overcome challenges I never could have imagined having. Thank you Friends for walking this journey with us. Thank you Lord for blessing the fruit of our labor in Uganda. We are so, so grateful!!! So this is exciting, and good news among so much “life.” This is my amazing team!!! More about them on the photos. I have shared with you before about finding ways to generate income within the country to help run the ministry. We have several projects we are working on, two of which are going well. We also have a guest house. There was so much that still needed to be done and I couldn’t do it before I left so I decided to wait over the summer (the busiest season), leave the list for staff, and if the Lord brings people we would open our doors. Praise the Lord, we are hosting four missionaries over the next week. My team, along with a friend in town who runs a guest house, have been working hard this month preparing and getting everything beautiful for guests arriving in about 24 hours. What a great God we serve. He always knows the right time. I'm in awe of his faithfulness. In 2016 I thought our home in Colorado Springs would to be for missionaries but God’s plan was not for CO but Uganda. It’s amazing to watch him fulfilling the vision he put in my heart four years ago for a guest house here. Pray for God’s grace as our team hosts their first guests alone. They will do great. If you know people heading to Uganda we would love to host them. Here is the link to our place. https://abnb.me/yoERPoBMPqb Nalongo is our ministry chef. Solomon keeps us safe. Tom, Suzan and Sirina help run our ministry programs and income generating projects.
