![]() Nalongo is such a hard working lady. I called after church to see how she was feeling since she was so sick when we ran into her selling eggs in the center last night. She looked and felt terrible so I gave her some money to go to the clinic for treatment When I called after church she was in another village trying to get some more school supplies for her kids. These mamas work so hard to get a little money and then they buy another item on the school list. Today she bought a pair of shorts and leggings required for two of the kids. We cannot even imagine this in America. We go to Walmart, get our list and we’re done. We have another mama with six kids and two were sent home because they didn’t have their school supplies. Ugh!!! We drove Nalongo back to the village so she could buy charcoal with the rest of her salary and get another injection for malaria. Then she was going to work on her house. If you saw the photos yesterday, we dug one portion. She finished digging all around the house this morning. The perseverance these people have to have to work thru anything is astounding. And she looked so beautiful I had to get a photo. These are three of Nalongo’s six children and the ministry’s family coordinator, Tom.
These three are the happiest kids, always. Look at those smiles. oh I love them so much!!! I can’t wait until they are in their home. I’m so, so thankful for someone very close to me, who wishes to remain anonymous, for donating to help with the pit toilet and buy new furniture for them and help with school fees. I can’t wait to go shopping.
