I wish it wasn’t always survival among our families. It is our prayer and our mission to try to change that for those God brings into our lives.
I was reminded this week of Isaiah 43:1 “But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. 2 When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. 3 For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Thank you for your prayers. A friend in Uganda reached out and we sent mama and baby to a children’s hospital. We were told it’s free, but that was not the case. She did get counsel and a plan and will go back next month. Please pray for Nalongo. She is in the hospital. As a single parent, when a mama gets sick they usually get enough to feel better and then go back home. They fear to leave their children to spend a night in a hospital. We finally convinced her to go, her children are taken care of and we are praying we can find the problem and a solution. Pray with us for wisdom, proper diagnoses and healing. Pray for the office. When one is gone so much the burden becomes very heavy for the others, especially when cooking is an all day job. we will get someone to help with cooking until Nalongo is better. Thank you so much. And be encouraged. We live in a broken world. Pain and suffering are daily in our lives, but Jesus won the victory. A day will come when every tear will be wiped away, there will be no more pain and suffering and we will rejoice in the presence of our Savior and God.
